i took a 5 litre mustang on the I-5 once .. i don't know exactly how fast i was goin, but the vtec kicked in and off i went ... it's hard to figure precisely -- i have 13" wheels and integra calibrated gauges ..
but, sufficient to say the needle was swinging back toward "0" ..

so ya, justin -- he truly is a wonderful freak ! .. but check out his wife's car - the 76 convertible trunk model civic with a city II turbo ..
the also cut the back half of another trunk model and made a matching trailer !! ..

she's extremely proud of her little baby ! ..

ya, they are sweet rides ..

i'm hoping to find others who are into building up the old school civics here in sweden .. but so far i might be the only one! ...

i'm planning on staying indefinitely, so i have lots of time do work on cars [img]http://new.hondaklubben.com/forum/style ... >/prop.gif[/img]

i'm starting to get a bit depressed without a civic !

I really think that you will be the only one that will be building a 1st gen civic. It will be cool to see what you do this time around with one. Do you have to make a custom header because it looks like it a really tight fit in there with the Y8. If you plan on staying then i would say import your blue one because i looked into importing my integra when i moved here and its about 1000 US dollars for the shipping. I think it will be kinda hard to find a non rusty old civic but there is probably one out there with you name on it. Well enough from me know, cya

But you have changed the engines on them haven't you? Could be some trouble to get them street legal here i sweden if that's the case.

But if he takes it as flytgods i dont think it matters if it has a different motor in it.

update --

i just sold my blue civic !! -- waaaaahhhhh -- had to do it ... feels good/bad -- but i still have my 78 red trunk model in canada -- might ship that one -- undecided .. might be better to find a shop here where i can work and build up another one .. i found a decent body for a 79 in malmö .. needs a new motor .. no big deal there ..

now comes the hard part .. finding all the guts i need to build up a vtec 1G --

if anyone is ever out to the wreckers and comes across a 74 civic - grab the front uprights for me - i can make my own coil overs with them ..

also - did sweden ever get the 1G civic wagon? --

need those hubs for the larger brake calipers and cross drilled rotors ..

That sucks in a way that you sold you car but thats more cash for a new project. You really seem to know a lot about the first and second gen civics. Keep us updated on your progress on what ever you decide to do.

ok - so LSI/ESI -- is that the same as north american Si? -- vtec? --

i'm trying to adjust to the european model info ..

what i need to find is a good 88-91 5 speed Si tranny and a 92-94 1.6 vtec D16z6 without too many miles on it ..

tell me, where does a girl go to find these things? i mean. where is the most effective and cost efficient way to find parts and other bits here? --

Well about the LSI/ESI thing is i have a 92 LSI and i swapped a ESI motor.
92-95 models are
VEI= d15z1, 1.5l vtec-e 90HK
LSI= d15b2, 1.5l 90HK
ESI=d16z6, 1.6L vtec 125HK
VTI=b16b2, 1.6l vtec 160HK

I hope this helps you out a little bit more. Look online for the parts, i found the motor at a scrap yard and called them and they sent it to me. http://www.fbt.se is the online junkyard and you can find the stuff you should need there. Im not sure about the 4th gen civics so much here but i just got one myself, so i think i will read up a little more about them. Mine is a GL model with the d15b2 motor. I know they have the "SI" model here with the sohc 1.6l but im not sure what its called. Good luck and if you have more questions just ask.

the sohc d16z6 is what i seek -- but i need an 88-91 5speed si tranny (preferably 91) as it hooks up with the 1g civic linkage ..

the b16 would take some more work to fit .. (um, ya ..)

also looking for black 88 prelude seats with the side (rib/waist) adjustment -- they are an awesome fit --

hey all -- 1G update !

didn't end up selling the blue one after all, which is ok. there are a few people that really really want it, but, it's not hurting me to store it at my brothers shop ..
GOOD NEWS -- found a civic hear in sweden !! actually, 3 of them ! -- plan on buying them all if i can find storage--

i'll post pics later !

ok ..

here are som pics of my new 1976 Honda Civc Hatchback (3dr) - with a 1.2 EB2 motor.. some heter "jackpot" .. she is clean ! -- no rust - NO rust ! --

hope ya like it! -- .. (i've also included a snapshot of my red 78 trunk model, which is still in canada) ..

and .. how the heck do i find parts now? there must be some new old stock, but my swedish is not nearly good enough to figure out where to look ! .. help !! ..
desperately need a whole exhaust system ! .. ! can't drive it without !!

the hunt for parts continues ...

i've been ordering most of my stuff off of ebay -- it's actually cheaper to buy and ship than it is to buy them here -- that is IF i can find them here !! --

anyone out there spotted any other !G civics? --
i'm shopping for another for my partner ! --

and also interested in finding an 80-83 civic or 1G accord .. (77-81) --

anyone in the stockholm area want to hook up for coffee now that the weather is nice?? ..
maybe a little "show n' shine" ??
