Universal Pictures has given the green light for the fourth installment of Fast and the Furious. After raking in $158 Million worldwide with Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Universal resigned Chris Morgan to write the follow up to his F&F3. Not much is yet known about this production but what has been confirmed is that the script was purchased for $700,000 against $1.35 million, and that Stuber/Parent Prods. are producing. Rumors are abound that Vin Diesel is in negotiations to reprise his role of Dominic, which is just the beginning of all of the speculation going on about this film. But I have the inside track on some more details for you.

An inside source has revealed to me that the proposed plot is to once again revolve around the latest Drift craze and that this time Chris will pit American muscle against JDM drifters. Now all of this info is coming preproduction so changes obviously are possible, but the two main car stars are slated to be the latest Skyline R35 GTR and the new Camaro, which made its movie debut in the recent Transformers film. Leading the way for the roles to round out the American muscle cast are a carbon fiber wide body S197 Mustang and the latest Dodge Charger. Both vehicles, along with a VW Beetle (possibly to be driven by one of the lead actresses), have been outfitted with bodykits and other mods by American Car Products of Whittier CA and the body and paint to be customized by SW Customs of Asuza CA.

Hoppas bara den är bättre än Tokyo drift och hollywood har kladdat mindre i manuset till denna.

Here you go Tommy Läste också att Paul Walker eventuellt skulle vara med också, men allt är ju än så länge bara spekulationer. Den skulle släppas som tidigast till sommaren -08.

Det enda som var bra med 2an och 3an var väl att bilarna var heta, speciellt Fortune 7an i Tokyo Drift Men man får väl hoppas på det bästa nu och att de får med några riktigt heta japanare

Som sagt den första i film serien är den bästa, och kommer säkerlingen vara så hur många dom än släpper.

tycker de är kanon att dom ens lägger ner tid o pengar på filmer som dessa.
allt som gör att bilintresset blir upplyft är bra tycker jag.

"Hell yeah" är ju det som gör fast and the furious filmerna kungliga!

So it’s official. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are definitely returning to the franchise that made them superstars in “The Fast and the Furious 4″, and the guys over at Movie Hole has some details about the upcoming movie. The setting this time around is Mexico, where Dom (Diesel’s character from the original) is still racing for the bad guys, and where Brian (Walker’s character, from the original and the first sequel) tracks him down. The entire scenario seems to be a reworking of the original plot, with the racers providing cover for the bad guy’s illegal activities, and undercover cop Brian trying to figure it out, etc. One expects a lot of cool cars, racing, and hot girls to get involved, as is the raison d’etre of the franchise.

Justin Lin Finally Talks Fast and Furious 4, Old Boy Remake

The thing about The Fast and the Furious franchise is this: no one goes in expecting Shakespeare, and if you did, then who is the dummy here — the movie franchise that never had any pretentious of substance, or you, the dolt, who went in expecting it to have some? I rest my case. But let’s get back to the franchise. Rumors have circulated recently that Justin Lin was primed to return to the franchise and direct the fourth installment (which, rumor has it, would also bring back Vin Diesel to the franchise that made him a household name in the first place). Coming Soon recently ran across Lin, out promoting his Bruce Lee comedy “Finishing the Game”, and asked him about “Furious 4″ and the long gestating “Old Boy” remake.

Here’s what Lin said about “Furious 4″:

Everyone is scrambling, but if I do it, I’m going to have fun with it. I’m still assessing. I haven’t totally signed on anything yet. People have been calling me, and I would do it for the right reason with the right people. That was my first action car movie and I feel like I’m better now. I would love to go and flex that muscle if it’s appropriate or the right situation. It would take the right people to come on board for me to do it, so we’ll see.

So basically, a Yes and a No. Eh.

Man borde tacka fats and the furious filmerna för att de skaffat fler bilintresserade och fick folk att öppna ögonen för japanska mästerverk som Supra, Skyline, Honda etc. Första filmen är såklart den bästa, men den enda filmen av dem jag inte gillar så mycket är 2:an. Gillade 3 o 1 filmen.
