Then a custom camswap, new fullrace topmount header and a BW s259 in the autom to try to break the 500whp barrier.

you know im the kind of guy that likes long foreplays before actoin.. LooolWelen XLR8 Performance skrev:cool build.. I would not have installed the blockguard before the bore and hone though.. I hope it will work out anyway.. The exhaust manifold looks like a aka ebay pice, ss autocrome, obx,etc full-race copy with a gay ass wastegate placement.. Hope that dont crack on you and that it will be able to hold the boost.. Stop playing with that stuff and get on with it with real engine.. LOL
I had to remove the engine, i have done some new tweaks to the blockbuster, and Its gearbox.. Installed new 3-4gear shaft and handcoughed it, so I can hopefully take it over 850whp on the dyno instead of stopping there and tune the rest on the street bc the transmission will brake apart when mr torque knock on the door...
in the same time i removed the abs from the car and wiretucked/ cleaned the engine-bay .. Target is to have it tuned by newyear.
while the litte d-pony hopefully will be tuned NeXT weekend.. And added real turboparts after this summer..
First goal is to crank 400hp with ebay Stuff then 500+ NeXT winter:)

Very impressive engine,but i have one thought about the t-cross at the oilpressure switch,don`t know how it`s on d series but on b series it`s to heavy and sooner or later it`s gonna vibrate off and crack the engineblock.

well the brass contains a weak material, but Ive done this always for almost a decade for now (8 years)and it never happened.
you can also suck in your Airfilter you know, If it has bad quality and your turbo suck a LOT of air and ruin the engine...shit can happend.
but this are the least Im afraid of.
The most advantive place to mount the oil press switch is at the firewall with a hose between, but this engine will not see 9000+ RPM and it do not Vibrate as much as 2-2,2Litre b-series with 9000+ rpms.

The car is in the lift now, inserting the engine this weekend... x fingers that everything holds the dyno, and that it will produce over 400whp
we have some restrictions for now, the exhaust is 2,5"(prev N/A setup) and the money was short for the customer to buy a 65mm TB.
The plenum is a little on the small side, so I wanted to add mass AIR with a 65mm tb instead of 52.. but what the hell. Its ebay crap and fun to see what numbers it produce..for now and then upgrade later
lets hope the head job add some hp for the ex an intake loss.. hahaha

Shure the other engine is bad ass, but for the cost this thing is bad ass too I think..
fun to see if/when calculations Portflow, VE and Turbo effienciy in CFM match the real world data..even though I dont have any real flow map on this turbo BC it is a china unit..
Also fun to see if the engine blow up or hold the beating..
The other blockbuster is just fine, Im dialing the custom cams Ive made by now.. the gearbox is having some new tweaks.. but I probably have to stop at around 860-900whp After that the housing probably will crack..
A new transmission and dog gearset is around 25000NOK

Thank you that was the main Idea.. to forward (In a extreme way) that what we touch becomes gold.. the question if we manage to do it, do I leave up to the numbers at the dyno. a shiny engine is nothing if it doesent hold the expetations at least from my point of view.. I think the engine is most sexy from the inside..

230whp (270-280motorhk)@ 0,5bar trykk..... kurven flater ut på 7700rpm kan dra den lengre men kurven kommer til å holde seg linjær husk at vi bruker enda bare 2,5" eksos, 58mm gasspjeld og stock kam

BTW Golden eagle does not make rods.. Eagle do.. different companies..
had to advance the cam 2 degrees due to the backpresshure of the exhaust... 245whp @,85bar had to take a foodbreak again.
In two weeks we are going to modifie the downpipe and add a 3" exhaust, spessially the DP is wery restrictive...

The clutch slipped while adding 1+bar we had to stop @ 0.85 the new clutch is allready ordered, and meanwhile we will build a 3" full exhaust.
I will put out two short dynovideos one on 0.5bar and one to show the problem, just for fun

Ikke alt fra Ebay er gull.. ny clutch er allerede i bestilling men alikevel er 250whp på 0,7bar trykk ganske respektabelt på d16z6 med standard kam, 58mm gasspjeld, 2,5" eksos og ebay turbo og grenrør.
Bilder av innkjøring(uten wastegate) bilen bremset 107whp med bare 120psi kompressjon hvilket tilsvarer 7:1 og bare et hull i grenrøret. (ikke akkurat optimalt) etter innkjøring var vi oppe i 150-160psi noe som tilsvarer 8,5-9:1 kompressjon, akkurat der vi vil ligge.

ok so you're more of an engine builder than a racer. but won't you agree that it would be better for your business to have the fastest sfwd car in europe? which this engine is capable of in the right chassis. you're more than halfway there if you'd decide to go for it :thumbup:

That is also 100% correct, Im more into tech, engine building and tuning. than racing it self, I like to make big and reliable horsepower, and I like to make things work. I have to totally agree with you there, there is no problem for me to pull the engine out and put it in another chassie.. it take about half a day.
The car is mainly for show purpose, but will be speced to have good ET`s.
even though it will not be a full tubeframe.....
Maybe a year later we will have a drag chassie ready if we plan t go that way... time will show

Here is the final results of the D16z motor we built with ebay turboparts, the only special is the headporting done to it, or else stock cams and 2,5" exhaust.
We did change the clutch for a act extreeme 6puck sprung, and did another shot at the dyno, at first we had trouble with missfire, and hooked the car up with more ground cables, did sum plug gap adjustments, and a little bit more tuning, the end result at 23-25psi was 401,1whp with pumpgas.

did a retune just to max the turbo. it started to struggle at 447whp so we ended at 445whp and 482NM TQ
