I don´t realy like the full race intake mani.. They are cast and the quality dosent look that good, and it is $900!! For that you should get some bling billet ones.. I guess polishing it is a way as you did.. For a 1000hp car I think a bigger plenum will get you some gains. I like when the wall in the plenum that is facing the runners are flat so the pressure waves bouns back in the runners better. With "audi style" chamber before the plenum you can still have good distribution of air between the runners instead of chaping the plenum smaller for each port.. For around 900.. maybe a bit moore.. one could probebly get a custom one made with better chaped and full radiused runner ports etc.. I think magnus motorsports looks a bit better but those 2 are a close race.. I think the full-race units are more optimal for 4-600 hp builds.
The turbo is that a borg warner unit? I have read somewhere that those are the same as scwitser turbos and those have been arond for a while in the racing scen i europe.
Here is a clip I found on the volvo I mensioned.. It is still not dialed in so I dout the are using the full boost potensial.. They had a european record for there class.. 7,42 I think or atleast very close to that in there old T23 chassi with volvo 4 banger.. I think some guy in finland took it though..

Have you studied the F-R IM by eye?
It is actually the biggest plenum IM I have held my hands on, Volum vise it is far bigger than Eagle sheet metal one, and the manifold is casted becouse it siplify its design.
It was design like the "AIR" carbon manifold with some Improovements like plenudesign, and Actually I now like it.
The big plenum is the one that are straighten up the big gulps from each runners, not the straight wall by it self.
We will se the results on dyno, I can post up calculations that can justify my choice in IM, But in the end what matters are the dyno and track results.
BTW, that was one impressive Volvo, I liked it :thumbup:

I have done some calculations to the compressormap, and found out an estimated flow rate or VE of the engine.
in that matter Im able to tell a estimated HP figure as well as where the compressor is most efficient in the power band..
Well with a 80mm inducer the turbo will be in its most efficient area at 2,3-2,4bar from 6-10800 rpm.
With a Aprox VE of 85%(It will probably be higher, but I dont want to make an overstatement in my calculations)
I will have a flowrating of 64lb/min at 5800rpm and a flowrating at 107lb/min at 9800rpm.
if you multiply the lb/min number by ten you get the aprox whp number.
Note. This is only calculations, dont hang me if I cant make these numbers in real life

What is fastest time anyone has run in Norway with FWD Honda?
Over here it's 11,3 Sam's EG6 streetcar and the guys from Sthlm I think went around 10,0 with CRX racecar.
Sam run on DOT tires, the Sthlm guys i don't know what tires they run on.
